As a guild we're comfortably getting the 6000 crown reward every week, and ideally I'd like us to go for the 9000 crown reward. This would mean that every one of our 50 members has to get 180 crowns a week though. I'm considering a few potential changes where I'd appreciate your feedback.
To be clear I want to be fair to both high and low level players, and I realize that some of the crown quests can be tricky for lower level players, particularly the ones that need 2 PVP wins with a single colour team. Having said that I also want to make sure we weed out lazy/inactive players as they do no justice to the efforts of everyone else. So, I'm proposing some basic guild rules for general discussion:
1 - Setting a minimum crown target of 180 per week for players level 55+ 2 - Setting a minimum crown target of 150 per week for players under level 55 3 - Automatic kick for anyone reaching 2 days inactive or falling significantly short of the target. 4 - Also automatic kick for any newbies who simply don't contribute in their first couple of days.
Exceptions:
* We'd make an allowance for newbies in their first week. * We need some way to NOT kick otherwise reliable players if there's a legitimate reason for a temporary shortfall.
So, thoughts anybody?
Additions 11th May 2016 ----
Crown Targets
1 - Exceed your target = Promotion 2 - Fail your target by more than 20 = Demotion 3 - Demotion from member = Kick 4 - Repeat offender = Demotion
Exceptions being new members and people who've used the forum to communicate holiday, busy work etc. I think that's as fair as we can be and it's simple t understand.
Any last views?

Not sure you'd need an exception for newbies. Even at level 40 or so, you should be able to do most of the quests, outside of something like "Win 2 PvP matches with an all Yellow team". What's the maximum? 210 a week? I'd set the min at 150 for everyone and hope more people can get closer to the max.
I guess it depends on how fast we can fill the roster with people who can get 180 a week. It's better to have a few that get 100, than an empty roster spot.

My thinking was that until I reached the previous level cap of 60 there were a few characters I hadn't maxed out, yellow and purple for me and it was easy to throw away PVP rewards on a futile exercise. Point taken though, lets see what the others say

I think you need some sort of warning before kicking for long time members, as it maybe something that keeps them away (like a holiday for example) or even a thread here that states away days for people maybe?

180 crowns a week is far two many i think we need to build up to that, i am active but nirmally can only get about 150 as i normally get an all one colour pvp thing which i cannot do or level 10 pwn ower also cannot do. You will be kicking me in a week or so because i cannot get 180 even though im active

Currently there would be 21 people kicked this week for not getting 180 crowns, just fyi

Would probably expect some high turnover if we're going to aim big. That's where this forum could come in handy. If people are out for a week on vacation, they could let us know here, we could remove them for someone who might be more active, and then add them back in when there's a spot for them.

Tell everyone to get 180 minimum, but I'd say only kick the people lower than 150. The reason is because those people who sit at 160-170 will probably end up getting replaced by other people who are the same or worse. You end up with a sad cycle. So I suggest kicking those under 150 every week and trying new people until only a couple people are getting under 150. (It's like the card game Spoons). At that point the guild will prob be getting 9000 because some people(like me) will be getting over 180 every week, but if you want, you can start kicking people under 160, then 170, then 180.

Thanks guys for your input.
Last week we had about 35-40 players within 30 crowns either side if the 180 mark, which in my view is a good result. Also our overall crowns have increased from just over 6k each week to nearly 8k, so I think we're going the right way.. In general I'm very pleased with our progress and the vast majority put in a great fort - I want to keep those players!
To be clear, I'm not going to kick people for simply not reaching the 180 target, but I do think we should be aiming for it, and trying to find ways to squeeze those last few out of tricky quests, then one day we'll reach the 9k reward.
The trickiest bit as always is judging who to kick as I do want to keep players are trying hard - to date I've tended to look at 2-3 days inactive, and midweek low crown players. Not perfect I admit, and this forum is a great suggestion (RealExl) to help us improve and communicate better. My next job I think is trying to decide fairly whether those in the 80-140 mark are minimum effort players or people we can help improve. We shall see!

We' ve come a long way though I think aiming high is suitable for us and I like the idea of lower levels at 150 for a week or so then have them go higher. I agree though those all color pvp quests can be challenging

So for those on the forum and this week, 180 target for 55+ and 150 fior under 55? Im under 55 myself, and I hit 210 no problem. 180 should probably be doable for everyone. You can stick with your rule though, and also mention that anyone under 150 needs to explain on the forum why they are under. If they are struggling with one of the quests, we can help them out. If they are busy that week, we can drop them for someone else, and then bring them nack when they can be fulltime again.

We had some real high scorers this week which is great, and when I checked we had 35 on 150+, of which 27 were on 180 or more. There's a few high level players though who are just scraping past the 100 mark and they're the ones I think we'll need to lose if we want a chance at the 9k reward.
I have them all written down so I can keep a careful eye this week.

Hey Wyles, Is there any other guild rank other than Member and Officer? It might help if can rank people based on contribution.
